Hi Everyone,
Pat I hope you are doing well.
Doesn't look like there have been many new posts so I'll just ramble on..................
Joan & I returned last night from a great trip to Vancouver and Victoria. We went to Vancouver to meet up with Lyndsays' parents, Mike and Donna, and talk about the June wedding.
We arrived on Thursday evening, Nath picked us up at the airport and took us back to his place where Lyndsay's mom had a great supper waiting. We had met Mike and Donna last summer in Calgary. They are great people, just like their daughter.
On Friday Nath and Lyndsay took the group of us to Whistler to look at the new ski jump facility and walk around the area. That evening Lyndsay and Nathan treated us at a great Japanese restaurant. And to liven up the party also invited Robb and Linda. As usual it took Robb a little time to come out of his shell, about .8 seconds. It was a great evening, a fun place.
On Saturday, we walked down to Granville Island to take a sea taxi to Bowen Island. We saw David Suzuki on his bycycle. Nice to see he walks his talk. We popped into the wine store and said hi to Mike O'Hara. Mike looks like he really enjoys his job. We watched him in action and he knows his wines.
On Saturday night Robb and Linda hosted a crab fest for the group of us. It was absolutely delicious. Kate was over and it was a good time. Mike and Donna think their family will get along great with the O'Hara's.
On Sunday, Joan and I took the Ferry to Victoria. We love Victoria. We did alot of walking along the ocean and really enjoyed the city.
On Tuesday we rented a car and drove to Sooke and then to French Beach. It was a rainey snowey day but French Beach was spectaclar. It a rugged beach with stones instead of sand. As the waves wash up and then down the rocks it rakes the rock and makes a very unique and relaxing sound.
Nathan, Lyndsay, Robb, Linda & Kate, Thanks again for a great time,
Dan & Joan,
